Well, first of all, I love the photo and think Matina is a beautiful model in an exciting pose.
Second, I'm sorry that my earlier comment was unclear. I was getting a strong Bettie Page vibe from this work, and so I meant "contemporary" as in "not from the 1950s" (which is the era I thought the picture was paying tribute to). Just the overall appearance of the photo seemed to suggest that, to me. But regardless of your intent, it is a brilliant picture, thank you for sharing it with us!
yeah I understand that now. It's quite popular that pin-up girls have tattoos all over. I don't understand how this thing became fashion but it is. So yeah ofcourse it doesn't have the classic feeling of a 50's pin-up shot, but it's still acceptable that she can have a tattoo as a pin-up girl. And this is why we chose Matina for the photoshoot because we wanted to do that modern version of the pin-up girls with the tattoos.
